learnmitra.com (“learnmitra.com”, “we”, “us”) runs the website learnmitra.com and its app. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our online courses, mock tests, live classes and certificates, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 of India.

Data we collect

Account details: name, email address, mobile number, password (stored encrypted) and, if you choose, a profile photo.
Order and billing details: what you bought, the amount, billing name and address, and GSTIN if you enter one. Payments are handled by Razorpay; we never see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.
Learning activity: courses you are enrolled in, lessons completed, mock test attempts, answers, scores, ranks, certificates and live class attendance.
Instructor details (instructors only): profile, qualifications, bank or UPI details for payouts and PAN where tax rules require it.
Messages you send us through forms, email, WhatsApp or the chat assistant.
Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and cookies needed to keep you signed in, protect the site and remember preferences.

How we use your data

To create and secure your account, and to verify your email address.
To give you access to the courses, tests and live classes you bought, save your progress and show your results.
To issue certificates. A certificate shows your name, the course and the date, and can be checked by anyone who has its number or QR code.
To process payments, refunds and GST invoices, and to keep the records the law requires.
To send service messages (order confirmations, class reminders, password resets) and, only if you agree, offers and exam alerts. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To prevent fraud, spam, account sharing and misuse of protected content (for example, a visible watermark with your name on lesson videos).
To improve our courses and website using anonymised, combined statistics.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website, under confidentiality: our hosting provider, Razorpay (payments), email and SMS/WhatsApp providers, video streaming providers, Zoom or Google Meet (live classes) and Google services such as Analytics, reCAPTCHA/Turnstile or Translate where they are used. Instructors see the names and results of students in their own courses and tests. We may disclose data when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except order, invoice and tax records that the law requires us to keep (usually 8 years), and certificate numbers so that certificates already issued can still be verified.

Your rights

You can see and correct your details in My Account, download your invoices, withdraw consent for marketing, and delete your account at any time (see our Data Deletion Policy). Security

The website uses HTTPS encryption, passwords are stored as secure hashes, payment pages are run by Razorpay, and access to personal data is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private and tell us at once if you think your account has been misused.

Children

Our services are meant for students preparing for university and competitive exams. Users under 18 should use the website with the consent of a parent or guardian.
